I am new to this OS, In the past I always used a 32 bit system. Each time I install a game (Crysis, COD 4, Bioshock) it goes into the program files instead of the program files x64. Is that a default thing? Should I force the install into the x64 folder instead? Would there be a game play/FPS improvement?

Just wondering, thanks.

My assumption is that those games you tried to install are not 64-bit applications, only 64-bit programs are installed into the x64 folder.

I have personnally never seen any mention of 32 or 64 bit games...I have always assume that they come with both version.

Usually, unless an app was developed specifically to be run on a 64-bit platform, it goes into the program file (x86) folder.
