I heard that you cannot stack the cash payment discount and the student discount - if that is the case, then which should I go for?

The student discount is half off of shipping.

The student discount depends on the item your are getting, I know that the Sager NP2096 gives $25 dollars off, then the cash discount is brought to 2%, and that 2% is taken off the total (with shipping and student discount).

Laptop cost + Shipping - Student Discount = Sub-Total - 2% = Total

chat with a sales rep about an order and then you probably have to verify with a college email address ie *@d.umn.edu then confirm their email and its done, thats my thought but talk to them about it that is the for sure method:rolleyes:.

Yes...you must have done it wrong, give me the laptop ID, and the price with shipping and I can just do it for you.

Unfortunately the student discount promotion ended. :( You only need to provide a copy of a ID (or email) (upon request by our admin) to get our military discount. (which was the same for the student discount).

When you calculate the totals it is the total price, less the discount and then take that total and multiply it by .97 (3% of the total) and you get your final price. :)

i.e.
$1,000x.03 = $30 (3% of total)
$1,000x.97 =$970 (total price with discount applied)
