I recently pre-ordered the NP8660 on Aug 11 (Order# 7052). I have two questions:
1. I requested military discount, but have not been asked for any type of verification...
2. I have also ordered using USPS Priority Mail (APO / FPO / Puerto Rico / Guam / U.S.)...
...will either of these things delay production?
Thanks,
B

Just to let you know, I ordered and had it shipped to APO. the production and first 2 phases were just as normal as a regular order. The shipping time and time from military post office to my place in Iraq took the time. 40 days total but well worth the wait.

Thanks wildman... when I was deployed to Iraq in 2006... I had a Dell Inspiron shipped to me there. It was an absolute nightmare. I just hope this doesn't turn out to be the same way. Glad to hear the processing took the same amount of time.

Depending where your APO is may take longer. Im in Afghaistan it takes USPS Priority Mail approx. 5-10 days (not business days). The mail comes into the larger bases then is dispersed to the smaller bases which takes a while. Luckily Im stationed at the first stop of the mail flight for this country.

Also remember... when I ordered from Dell... they shipped it Parcel Post. This is death knell to APO... can easily take 45 - 60 days to arrive due to the package no becoming a "space available" package. I always check if a company ships Priority Mail (for normally a nominal cost difference from parcel post) which usually only takes 7 - 10 days... sometime quicker.

I just received my laptop this afternoon. So the answer on delivery time came to 15 days. I suspect it took a little longer due to it being mailed "registered mail" which is a nice bonus. Thanks for the great service Xotic!
