My 9262 will be here in a couple of days. I have checked laptopvideo2go recently for 9800m gt drivers, but im not sure which is best. When I search the latest drivers i'm not seeing the modded inf. file for the 9800m gt. Some of the newer drivers dont even show a list of the supported inf. files. So if possible can someone post a link to the newest (stable) driver that has a modded inf. that supports the 9800m gt in SLi For Vista 64.
Any help is much appreciated!:)

With a new sli rig I would use the drivers that are shipped with your unit. Stay with them at least until you see someone else making their units work with the drivers from laptopvideo2go.

Thank you kindly. I wasn't sure if the current stock drivers were very good performers.

My thoughts exactly. Mine will be arriving in a couple weeks and I'm just itching to play the latest and greatest and I was hoping that the SLI drivers coming with the system weren't whacked out. Fingers crossed!

Yes I have seen others talking about this one, but when I check laptopvideo2go I cant seem to find the modded inf. file for the 9800m gt.

After checking many websites, all i can see for 177.41 is that its for the newer desktop cards (i.e. 260 280). Check here http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x64_177.41_whql.html

There must be something I'm missing. Maybe somone made a modded inf. file for that one that'll work for mobile gpu's. If anyone finds it- please point me in the right direction.:-/

Generally you find laptop makers provide the laptop drivers -- which sucks, because they don't normally keep them real up to date. There are a few communities that do, however; mod the inf and tweak the drivers almost every release so that mobile cards can use them. Depending on what you're playing (City of heroes, some other physX enabled game) i would check out the beta drivers with CUDA enabled.

I guess I'll just wait and see how the stock drivers perform, but from what I'm reading in previous post is that they are terrible. Anyways the beast should be here tommorow or the day after. I haven't had this much anxiety since uhhhh well.... ok I have never had this much anxiety. Feel like a kid again lol.

P.S. Bullseye with the City Of Heroes Guess.... just cant let the old gal go.

The stock drivers are terrible, at least mine where. I have tons of video flickers and black screens while trying to play CoD 4 and Crysis. I updated to 177.41, which solved all my problems plus it added another 400 points to 3dmark06. Now I'm at 14,005 on a laptop......

Most likely displaying my profound ignorance here but on laptopvideo2go they posted driver 177.89....is this the new driver I should download when my laptop arrives? Or should I be sticking with the 177.41 that others on here have pointed towards? If I should stick with the older one, great...how do you decide when to update drivers anyway? Sounds like it's just one of those things where nobody updates until a few brave souls potentially sacrifice their systems to the fickle CG's (Compatibility Gods) and report back that their systems handled it just fine. :notworthy

Only certain drivers support SLI and certain GPUs. Read the supported GPUs and also the forum posts. I am not sure what the newest SLI driver is, but 177.41 seems like a good place to start :).
