I am looking to get a universal power adapter for my notebook (like ones made by Kensington, Targus, etc.). They usually come with several "tips" to fit any laptop, but their websites and packaging materials only list which major brands they are compatible with.

Does anyone know what # tip the Sager 7680 uses? Can anyone recommend a universal power adapter which includes a compatible tip?

Thanks,
chris.

Any chance you could get me a picture of the pin config of the current one?

Be careful with those. Some of them can be a hazard. (I hear the Targus can get rocket hot and melt at the connections). Do you still know the one that came with your laptop? If so, you can do a search on the web and I bet you find it.

I still have the one that came with my laptop, but it's bulky and heavy for travel. I have a few Kensington ones which are lighter and have retractable cables, but they're 90 watt and don't work with my new PC.

I used them for years with no heat problems (they're much cooler than the manufacturer one, in fact) and would like to find a similar solution for my new PC.

I'd love to if I knew what you meant... Just a picture of the tip? Or the jack on my PC?

Thanks,
chris.

I'd love to get a hold of one for the NP8660 too.
