Hi there I was wondering when we can expect you to receive the WUXGA version of the NP8660 because I know that some of us (or at least me) need our lappy and school's starting real soon...
Also when you said about custom skins, do we have to send you the exact design in a picture (if so what resolution) or can we send in a basic concept sketch and writing?
Thanks

For skinning you have to send the exact design. res should be a minimum of 1280x800 I believe or something like that. I suggest bumping the res up one notch though just to be sure.

*Le sigh* ok, thanks for answering, guess I have to wait, I've been "borrowing" my roommates laptops to do work and check stuff out. They know about it and are content to let me use it but I don't know how long this will work out...eh, sorry, not your problem.
Shame about the custom skin though seeing as how I can't draw and my friends comps don't have photoshop (not that I would know how to use it anyways :P).
Must...wait...for..laptop...must...hold....out...

Hey Justin when you said start shipping this week, did you mean Sager will start shipping them to you to build or XoticPC will start shipping them out to me/us? :) Any news on the status?

If you need any help making a skin just give me a PM. I use photoshop for some graphic design and website logos (sort of a hobby). If you have an idea of what you would like, I can do my best to give you an actual rendering :). Xotic also offers some pre-made skins which are worth checking out as well.

Sager will start shipping them this week. If you have any custom painting or skinning they will ship to us for this work after production.

Thanks for the info Justin!
I am almost afraid to ask this, but do they ship directly to people in CA, or do they ship it to XoticPC first (heard that somewhere)?

Have they begun to ship? Is there a shortage of the screen? I am still stuck in Phase 1 :(
all depends on when you ordered your machine. they just received the wuxga screen, mine moved to phase 2 yesterday and i ordered the machine on the 2nd day of release

I wasnt absolutely sure about this myself. When they say 5-10 day delay, that's on top of the delivery right? Just making sure.
Also, has anyone actually used one of these yet? I can't find anything on them anywhere lol

Does anyone know how many days it usually takes for Sager shipping the laptop to XoticPC before XoticPC can ship it to CA customers? (Shipping time from Sager to XoticPC)

Hi sir.jack - it usually takes 3-4 days for a laptop to ship from CA to NE. I'm not sure if you're still in a position to do this with your order, but you can always opt to pay the California sales tax instead of waiting the extra time for your delivery. If you'd like to do that, it's best to e-mail service@xoticpc.com ASAP to make sure the order change goes through in time!

Thanks Brad for the info! I got the notice that Sager shipped it to XoticPC on 9/4, so I am just crossing my fingers hoping that I'll get a tracking # today from you guys :)
