I ordered the NP9262 a couple of weeks ago. I had the 1 gig nVidia GeForce 9800M GTX put in it. Then, I waited patiently in Phase 1 until the new graphics gard was released. When I checked my account yesterday it said I went from Phase 1 to Phase 4(shipped). I am definitely not complaining about that, but I did want to know why it went to phase 4 all of a sudden. Don’t the laptops need to be assembled and tested for a certain amount of time to make sure they are up to proper specs? I thought that is what phase 2 and 3 were for. While I want my laptop as soon as possible, I would like to be certain that any problems with it were found out before it was shipped. Anyone else go directly from phase 1 to phase 4? Maybe Justin can shed some light on this for me.

That is a bit strange. I would suggest calling XoticPC straight away as the forum boards aren't the best place to submit customer service questions that need immeadiate attention as your question sounds like it should be addressed now to make sure everything is ok.

You can view the different phases your order goes through here (http://www.xoticpc.com/faq-ip-5.html)on our FAQ page. Many of the pre-orders for the 9800m GTX on the 9262 notebooks went from Phase 1 (Pending Parts) to Phase 4 (Order Shipped) as production started right away once the GPU's arrived into stock. Every laptop from Xotic PC will still go through production where the assembly, customization, testing, benchmarking, and final QA is completed.

I wouldn't worry too much. My model jumped from phase 1-4 within a few days and I recieved it without any problems. It is most likely that they just didn't update your status (your probably one of the first to recieve the 9800M GTX), but I am sure that everything will be top notch :).

Hi guys - well said by Justin & OCG. Sometimes (especially in the case of newly released systems or components), you'll see status jump from "1" to "4" because systems are moving through production quicker than expected.

Thanks for the info. I can't wait for this laptop. I am in Afghanistan, so it will take a little while longer for me to receive it, which is why I was so excited to see it go right to phase 4. XoticPC rules!!!

Are you in the US military? Or are you a civilian who is from Afghanistan? Just curious because you have fine English. Congratulations on buying a laptop from xoticpc. I'm excited and can't wait for mine either.

I see, I see. It must be very nerve-racking over there. I'm glad I'm not in the military. I tried to join twice but got rejected for flat feet. Tried to join the Navy too. Just wasn't for me I guess. I'm 6'8" tall so they thought my feet and back would get injured or something. Whatever, I am loving college! :)
