There should be a moderator, someone who is just a part of the community, not necessarily staff or anything at XoticPC, who has the power to delete, remove, and moderate posts. There are certain users, Im sure many of us are aware who they are, who are on this website much more often than xoticpc staff, or at least just as often. My reasoning is from time to time I do see various spam or inappropriate posts, and sometimes Ill see them up for days before they are removed. I've been a moderator for 5 years on a site of 500,000; and I know how hard it is to always have someone on, so it is always helpful to have someone there. (BTW with that last comment, Im not trying to throw my name out as a suggestion, Im just making a point). Maybe its against your corporate policy, but just a suggestion

The personal scores that could be settled. OK so maybe not such a great idea. On spam yea it does get a little out of control sometimes.

IMO powerpack is who I was kinda hinting at lol. Its just good to have a community member do it. With the whole settling personal scores, thats why you let them have some limitations to begin with, such as no ban hammer, etc. As I said, I know the structure of moderating on a website very well, and I just know that we could use it

I do have to agree, and I've brought this up with the boss-man Justin. Unfortunately at this time we prefer to keep the forums moderated by the company. I have been slacking as of late due to some issues here at work but I will attempt to moderate a little better.

PP is not an ideal choice, nor am I, for several reasons. Smogbot would probably be good and maybe a couple others. Perhaps instead these forums should be community moderated. If someone feels a post is inappropriate you can vote for it to be collapsed (or deleted or whatever) and then once a post gets enough votes it goes up for moderator deletion or editing. Sure people can grief you then, but if the board were tracking who voted posts for collapse the moderator you can tell who is doing the griefing and act accordingly.

You should "enlighten" me. I'm not "positive" what you mean! Maybe I just need to "recharge" my brain cells?

Sorry they are all terrible puns. And I think you missed the first one :P
