So....I got bored Saturday and went looking for a new cellphone. Looked at Walmart.com and found the ATRIX 4G for $24.99. Hell yes!!! Went to ATT, they don't price match!!! Errrrr...f off, I said. Went to BB, no problem...Walked out with 2 of them(me n wife).

After hours of play, right out of the box n 50% battery, time to recharge. Been playing with it now for 3 days. Can't wait for Gingerbread to hit the update button!!!
Call quality is frigging awesome, speaker is TWICE as loud as Captivate, dual core....frigging awesome, screen is bright(turned down to give more battery life and still rocks), hdmi output a ++(haven't used it yet), fingerprint reader(sweet), 16 gig storage(meaning I don't have to buy an sd card), front facing camera...Tango+ naked wife!!!!!

THE ONLY bad thing about it is...I can't get rid of ALL the home screens. It comes with 7, yes 7!!!! I only want 1 maybe 2 home screens...Errrr.

All in all, loving it. Not getting the laptop dock or any other high $ junk. Might get a case/screen protector, but that's it.

Yea that is an excellent phone for ATT. I'm upgrading next month from my orginal Droid 1 to probably the Droid Bionic. Going to wait and see what reviews are like for it before I decide for sure, but as far as dual-core go my choices are somewhat limited on Verizon. I know the Droid Bionic has a 4.5" screen which is pretty big.

I have been loving my Asus Transformer Tablet especially with the optional keyboard doc. I have been using it at work and on weekend baseball games. Still a little expensive, but I do like the options it has compared to other tablets and the screen is fricking amazing on it.

If I had a tablet, I would just get a flip phone!!! lol
Droid Charge is out for Verizon. Looks kewl.
The biggest reason for my upgrade was the frigging battery life on my Captivate was terrible. I gave it to my MOM, and she can't get thru the day without charging it. I shut down all the running services in the back ground and got rid of the "Baby Dancing" live wallpaper she found n installed. Hopefully that will fix the battery FOR HER.

As for my Atrix, I played about 30 minutes of Angry Birds, watched 15+ minutes of Youtube, talked to my wife for about an hour AND still have 60% of battery left. For shits n giggles, I'm not going to charge it tonight to see how long it will last thru tomorrow.

BTW, I have a "live" wallpaper running, auto updates(Facebook n the like) weather, and a few others running in the back ground!!!

Going on 48 hours with no recharge and still @ 40% battery. Played Angry Birds for about 20 minutes, talked about 2 1/2 hours on it today as well. Voice command sucks though!!

Still liking that phone? I'm using the Droid Bionic now and like it. The battery needs some more optimizing, but overall it is not bad. I get 1 day of use out of that and that is mostly texting, surfing and some gaming (Currenly playing Greedy Spiders). I will admitt the screen is big at 4.3", but I really like that size. I was going to go with a bigger battery, but the Otter box case would not work with it. I have enough chargers (Home, work, and Car) that a normal battery should be just fine.

I'm liking it even more than before. I get about 2 1/2 days use out of it, if I don't play "Angry Birds" too much. As far as watching videos, talking, texting...I've noticed that it uses little to no battery. I can watch an entire movie on, thru Crackle, and only uses about 5-10% battery the whole time(if that). I put a mesh style case on it and a ZAG screen saver to save on "pocket" space and keep it cool. I was thinking about going with the Samsung with the bigger screen, but after holding it n trying to get into my pocket and back out again, I decided it was TOO big to be comfortable. The smaller 4" screen fits nicely though.

The only thing I do not like about it is the fingerprint reader/sleep button. Wish they would have put a button on top(much like the iphone 3/4) that was easier to push. The dual cpu seems to be a waste though. Nothing I have seen, yet, even needs or uses that cpu to run. But, over all I love it.

Is that using the 4G or 3G network? I'm no where near 2 days for battery. I'm good for a day with moderate use and that is between 4G and 3G networks. Download speeds are wicked fast on 4G. 12 Megs on the down and 5 Megs on the up.

My understanding is Atrix is 3G. AT&T only rolled out 4G in maybe 3 Markets on Monday so even if it was 4G of no use to many.

I'm on Sprint so I am looking At Galaxy II unless I switch carriers. I like Verizon speeds but data caps concern me. Sprint is the only unlimted left.

Hey guys I got NetFlix on my Epic 4G last week.

Mine is the 4G Atrix. I am only on the 3G network though. I do understand that 4G takes alot more battery to run. Not sure why that is. I have done a few battery tweaking to mine as well. I keep wifi, bt and gps off when I'm not using them. I also lowered the screen brightness down a bit, enough to were I can see clearly in the sunlight. Removed the "live" wallpaper and just a a hd pic I downloaded. I also have push turned off and just have fetch enabled for every 30 minutes or so. I do still have my social network, weather and youtube running in the background. If I wanted to, I could reasonably get a little more battery life out it.
BTW, I took it off charge yesterday @ 0930, talked to my wife for at least 2 hours, used google maps to nav me to my next stop(6 times), watched a few youtube vids, played angry birds(about 30 minutes) and still at 60% battery left.

That is true about VER, but I got in on their unlimited data plan about 5 years ago. I have a usb stick that I can put into any computer, including my desktop. So far my data usage this month is-16358482.04 kb. I'm using the card to BC2 watch movies and TV shows online(almost constantly). If I am correct, that is 16 gig a month? Or is it 1.6g a month? Not sure, but glad I got the unlimited plan!!!
BTW, you will NOT get the advertised 8.7 hours of talk time on that phone(galaxy S II). It has only an 1800 mah battery in it, mine has a 1930 mah and is only rated for 9 hours. I don't know if I get the 9 hours or not...I don't talk that much on it. I had the Captivate for a year and the battery was dreadful!! I couldn't get thru the day without having to have a charger handy. I will say that the "touch wiz" was nice(like it better than the MOTOBLUR I have now) but I need a battery that will last at least the full day.

Verizon Data caps are only going to hit the top 5% on the people that download the most. Not sure how I feel on that. I'm more peeved that I should have to pay $20 a month to Tether my device for stuff I do at home.

Galaxy II is a good phone and nothing wrong it it. I am curious about the Nexus Prime, but not enough to have wait for it. :)

For those who prefer an incredibly large screen and feel that Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch’s 4.52-inch large display is not good enough to offer an amazing viewing experience, now there is another new flagship smartphone from Samsung that seems a lot more like a new generation of smartphone, dubbed as Samsung Galaxy Note. The smartphone sports a stunning large 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED WXGA screen (1280 x 800 pixels resolution) which the company claims as the world’s first and the largest high-quality display available in any smartphone, based on Google Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) operating system.

Samsung Galaxy Note announced: 5.3-inch display, built-in-stylus, custom 'S Pen' apps

Still liking that phone? I had to get another due to washing the previous by accident :D Curious, did you have any Motoblur problems? I know they're phasing it out, apparently my "fake acct" had a password change without my knowledge lol. I kinda wished i had known the Atrix 2 was coming out; it seems to be a bit better, a bit bigger, but it looks to have totally dropped motoblur.

Oh yeah. Still liking it. I recently went to BB and saw a dummy Atrix II. Looks good, has a rubbery back to it, rather than the hard plastic one on mine. Not sure if I would like that. I keep mine in my front pocket and I have to be careful about which case I put it in, so it doesn't turn my pocket inside out to get it out of there. I heard a reviewer talking about a better battery in it, but I have researched it at all. Overall, I am well pleased with my phone.
No problems with BLUR either. But yeah, they are phasing it out. I just hope they don't screw up my current phone with future updates.

I like the version of blur that is on my Bionic. Not sure what all the complaints are about it. It is snappy and the phone runs good! Very happy with my Droid Bionic. If at the time they would have announced the Nexus Prime with a concrete release date, I may have gone with that, but I know with Moto I get good build quality phones.
