Can the Sager 5796 handle 8gigs or RAM?

The reason I said this is because while surfing I came across this link
http://uk.zepto.com/shop/Notebook.aspx?notebookid=1173 from a UK based company that is selling a Sager 5796 (silver) model under the name "Hydra A17" in the specs it says it can allow as much as 8gigs of RAM.:) Just wondering if the american Sager's can do the same.

It may be a mis-print or maybe not (everyone is ahead of the U.S. in technology).
I'm not so sure it can. The way to find out for sure would be to get the make and model of the system board and then find the specs on that to see if the system bus can handle 8GB of RAM.

Keep in mind though that even Vista 64 bit can't not use 8 GB of RAM. The best you can do is 6GB, so there you have a software utilization wall as well.

Someone here may come along eventually with specs and such who can elaborate on the subject.
