Looking at Today's Birthdays listed at the bottom of the main forums page below this Feedback forum I see 2 new members that joined the forums today,both have August 8th as their birth date and both are 26 years old today.

What's the odds on that unless they're both....

One Botnet that is most seen here joining have member names like Jefferyjeffery6D39.

The botnet can create new bots by simply changing one digit in the name.Nothing else needed to change thus the same birthday.

In the wee hours of most mornings you can witness new bot members.

A week ago we saw about a thousand or more very similar type names having a 26th birthday.

Now how many thousands of bot names with the 3 numbers and 1 letter ending is the botnet capable of producing by changing 1 of them.

From the 1000 or more we have as members,millions can be produced from them in software very quickly. If enough are members and could post at the same time it enough to mount a DOS attack or any other devious attack.

They have been stopped from posting by in place security so the threat is presently neutralized.

A million posting at the same time could surely bring down this site and most others in seconds.
