My Sager NP9262 has arrived, and I have been enjoying my baby so much. Every thing is working properly, well almost every thing. For some reason my YUAN MPC788 MiniPCI Hybrid TV Tuner is not picking up any digital channels at all. It picks up analog just fine, but when switched to digital it will not pick up any channels. This bothers me because when I ordered my laptop I asked the sales rep at XoticPc if it was truly a digital tuner, and he sad it absolutely was. I hope this is the truth because I wanted a digital tuner, and not to sound spoiled but I always get what I want.
Just for some general information I am using the CyberLink Power Cinema that came with the laptop. My area does get digital TV, so does Philadelphia where I was last week and could get no digital signal, and so does the area of Delaware I was just at and still got no signal. And yes I even stood outside with my laptop and antenna looking like an ass scanning for channels.
So if anyone could help me with this problem, or if the administrator of the forum could inform me of some kind of hardware misinformation that might have been given to me about this card. Either way I need a digital card, and if I was sold a non-digital card I am not going to be happy.
Despite this one problem, this laptop is amazing and has turned all my friends green. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, now all I need to do is hook this up some how to my car and create some kind of sports car laptop killing machine.
