Is it possible to order a spare back panel for my NP8660 so I can drill some holes on the hard drive area since the cooling of that part is inexistant and my hard drive idles at 55 all the time and loads at 65? Also, is there a problem with the warranty if I do that?

Are you using a notebook cooler?

I will be getting one but the holes is the back panel seems to be a better option when I don't have my cooler.

Actually just drilling holes in the cover where the hard drive is won't help you much at all. You need to get air to flow which would require a fan and the fan or fans, assuming there is only one or two under your laptop already, aren't really enough to move air to hard drive area as well depending on how they are placed of course. You would be better off making sure you can have a cooler with it. Sure, you might need a bigger bag or something to carry it with the laptop, but in the end its a better solution.

Yeah, I know I need some airflow but letting the air out should help. Some users over NBR are reporting good results for that. I'll be waiting for more details but for now, I would like to know if its possible to order a back panel and if there would be some problems with my warranty.
Thanks for the respond :)
