View Full Version : Love my new laptop
Sorry I have been stuck a work a lot, and haven't had time to post. I love my new Sager 2096.
So far everything is great, and i brought it to work and everyone loved it. They even benched marked against two other new laptops others had. Yayyyyyyyyy for Sager it beat out the other two
One was a new 17inch Gateway with the dvr3 and the other was a HP with similiar specs as what the Sager had. Just thought i would post that Sager impressed them, since they never heard of Sager.

my Sager blows the G5 Macs up in our computer graphics lab out of the water. This thing is pretty fast with 4 gigs of ram! And I even got the Intuos3 Wacom tablet to round it out. Great graphics setup!

Hehe, my friends wouldn't believe me that my laptop would blow their full tower desktops away. This Sager NP5796 I bought benched higher than all 4 of their PC's in 3DMark06 and PCMark05.
They said intially "It is impossible for a laptop to out bench a desktop, the hardware isn't the same."
When the results were in... "Wow..." is about the best they could say.

That's funny....Barb what kind of a job do you have where you hang out in the office benchmarking laptops against your co-workers? :)
A Mac G5 is a pretty old machine these days....It's like comparing your notebook to a Pentium 4 or even a Pentium 3.
Notebook hardware isn't all that different from desktop hardware. In fact some desktops use notebook hardware to achieve small size and high efficiency. Notebook hardware is typically more expensive though. It's funny people make statements like that because there's so much variety. I see some desktops for sale in the stores these days that my three year old Sager could beat in many benchmarks.

I'm having trouble convincing my friends little brother his xbox 360 is not the best computer in the world.
I use any argument and stats possible, but he never gets it....

lol... xbox 360's are awful in terms of processing power compared to a laptop or desktop.
