My laptop came with Display: 17.3" FHD 16:9 "Matte Type" Super Clear Ultra Bright LED Matte Screen (1920x1080)
I have 3 previous laptops with matte screens, and they all costed under $500 and some are going on 5 years old, why on earth is the screen on this $1250 laptop grainy looking? Why is the screen quality on my old laptops superior? Granted the resolution isn't as high, but at least what's displayed isn't grainy looking.
Solid colors, especially white make it especially noticeable. It's like a blue grainy cast over all the solid colors, WHY would anyone produce screens like that? What ever happened to the NORMAL non-glossy screens that look like everyday LCD desktop screens? Why do my old laptops have them but this new 1k+ machine doesn't?
This is bad enough that I'm leaning towards returning the thing, despite really liking it otherwise.
