I was considering upgrading my current graphics card ( 8700m gt ) to a newer graphics card. Is this a difficult process. More importantly is it even possible? This may be a very "newb" question but I have never modified any computer before, let alone a notebook. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The upgrade for the NP5791 requires a mobo swapout or a mobo rebuild, which xoticpc used to offer. I'm not sure if they still offer the swapout/rebuild but my guess is it is probably not worth the performance boost. you should contact Justin or Brad to find out if they still offer the upgrade and how much it would cost

Unfortunately we don't offer the upgrade packages for the mobo swap out with a video card upgrade any longer :(

How disappointing. It's crazy how fast these things become obsilete. It hasn't even been a whole year since I bought this one, and at the time it was considered bad ***. So now I'm stuck with something that cost of two grand, and it is obsilete. <--- most likely spelled wrong.

There is a BIG difference between obsolete and no longer top of the line ;).
