Hello,
I was wondering when the Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi will be available? Sound Blaster released it quite some time ago and I noticed that it was not available for purchase since at least early summer (which is when I first checked, but could be longer). Now I see that the company released another sound card http://www.soundblaster.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=208&product=17988 which costs nearly as much. Could they have replaced the previous version with this one? In that case what will happen with my order (I ordered sound blaster X-Fi as an accessory with my notebook).
Thank you

I believe that the X-Fi Xtreme is better, simply by looking at the specifications of both cards side by side. The new one you posted a link for looks like more of an in-between card... but I may be mistaken. In any case, I got my X-Fi Xtreme through eparts and more. It was a very Newegg.com-like experience, good support, etc, and they do have them in stock. In fact, it was the only site I could find with the card in stock.

I think the proof is in the name. X-Fi Audio Notebook vs. X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook. Makes sense in a really stupid way.
