Hello folks, I am hoping anyone here can shed some light. I have 2 inquiries.

1) I recently downloaded the latest Nvidia driver which was 178.13 Vista 64bit - 2008-09-17 (http://laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=20760) from http://laptopvideo2go.com/

It installed ok, and I used the modded INF and so forth. It seems to be working fine, but I am curious as to why it now lists the card as an NVIDIA G92-600. Is this normal, or is there a pssible step that I may have missed. I have the 9800M GT.

2) Seondly, and this one has me a bit more concerened. I ordered my system with 4GB of DDR3 memory. However when using CPUID, and Sandra Lite, it says that I have DDR2. Is there perhaps a better utility that I can use to verify this?

I am coming from a Powerbook, so I am not up to speed with all the intricacies of this notebook yet.

As always I thank you guys for your time.

Thanks!!

Yeah try CPU-Z on the memory, that one's always accurate.

As for the video card, mine is listed as such as well, even in programs like Ccleaner. Its just the way it's listed, no big deal, still works the same :)

Thank you Zatara214, I did go ahead and download CPU-Z.

I am still a little confused though: The memory tab states that it is DDR2, but the SPD tab lists it as DDR3 for both slots.

Thanks again

Probably something to do with the chipset... did you install the latest chipset drivers? If so, it might just be the way the laptop itself is built... but rest assured that it IS DDR3 memory lol.
