Sager NP5796 is a fantastic laptop for the quality and the performance. But I haven't seen any all-around review about it. So I would appreciate if somebody can do a review of it and post it here... In fact, I'm just curious about the performance on Crysis VeryHigh Settings. With 1400*900,1680*1050 and 1900*1200 pixels settings. So I hope someone can do this.
Thank you all and best regards.:notworthy

If you're wondering about performance you don't need to read a review of that notebook. Just look for performance benchmarks of a different notebook with the same graphics card and approximately the same processor. Keep in mind that screen resolution will play a very large role in game performance especially Crysis so consider that when determining what screen resolution to select. Running in less than the native resolution causes games to look noticeably fuzzy.

I'm in the process of buying a laptop I gan use for both modest gaming and Graphics work..I will prob get a Sager in the 17 model to use like a dtr. The reviews I have seen just speak so well of the not only elegance but solid durability of machine. I will wait a while before getting something in 15 inch range . I am so Happy I found this site. I have seen a little too much complaint on the alienware m15x when it became available last november of 2007.

I have been curious ..Does anyone know when when was the first production date of that machine or when did it actually came off assembly line.. I really would like to know.. They announced in October 2007.. I saw one on with bios date of 3/2007 on 2008 models.

I will post any reviews on the sager I find..I have yet to find a bad one..In fact you can go to ebay and and mostly find only old old ones for sale. So people seem to hang on to them.
http://boardreader.com/s/NP5796.html has some material..

Nice to be here and
Thanx for anybody who knows answer to that alienware question too..

I used to have a Sager 5720 which was an older but very similar design and it lasted me nicely for nearly three years and then I sold it on eBay and purchased a Sager 9262.

In my opinion, apart from my G3 Pizmo Powerbook by Apple which is still running today in everyday use after ten years these Sager notebooks blow away anything I've touched or owned. Just go into a Best Buy or Circuit City and feel how cheesy and cheap some of these large notebooks look and feel. The Clevo designs Sager uses don't feel that way. They come across as better built...just my opinion of course. I like the more spartan look and feel and shy away from the gaudiness of Toshiba Satellite notebooks.
