Im just concerned a bit on this because of the temperature reading im getting on my notebook. After playing about 30 mins of Crysis at the current settings 1280x800 resolution all on High. I checked my GPU temp and it hits about 92C room ambient room temp is 75F or 26C. I know Crysis is a demanding game, but im just wondering if i should be concerned as i had no problems with a Sager NP5793 ever hitting that HIGH in temperature even at the same resolution settings hottest the NP5793 got was 84C. Anything i can check or do or might i have to return and get repair work done?

Is there a high fan setting on that computer? On many of the larger Sagers it's Fn-1 or Fn-F1 to force the GPU fan to run at 100%

checked it but so far only know it can run in "silent mode" I may have to read it again, but as far as i know there is no way to adjust the fan speed. I am sure i dont have it running in "Silent mode" as fan noise doesnt bother me a bit.

Played just 30 mins of UT3 on 1440x900 res with settings on High no Async temp reached 96C. Seriously this is pretty High.. Never reached this HIGH on the NP5793. I did get to toggle the fan settings in the BIOS screen instead of Automatic i put it on as "always" no improvement.

That does seem pretty hot. My 9800GT doesn't get anywhere near that even when running 3DMark at normal fan speed. What does it idle at? I'm just wondering if the sensor is faulty.

You may want to contact Sager for tech support. Send them an email and ask them.

Hey woody thanx for taking the time and responding. I decided to take a look inside my notebook just to see if the fan had anything blocking it and that everything was plugged in correctly and guess what? I found plastic stickers blocking all my bottom vents on the back plate. I wasnt able to tell until i took off the back plate and there they where stickers blocking the vents. Going to do further testing to see if it improves temps.
