I'm ready to put my order in for a Sager 5790, but the only thing that I'm waiting for is the white trim. The order form says September ETA, but is there a more concrete timeframe for getting the new trim in? Thanks.

There are no concrete timeframes for anything right now, not for the white trim, not for the nVidia 7950GTX, or anything else that says "till september" . Well, keep in mind that it's Saturday and until Monday bussiness is closed.

I noticed the other day that the white trim is no longer an option. Are you still planning on offering it at sometime in the near future or not?

We are planning on offering it in the future. We didn't want to take any more orders for it until we have a more confirmed date it will be arriving. :)

Justin, I was looking over at the notebookreview.com forums last night and I came across this thread that was talking about the NP5791 and the orange and white trims: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=168291

The last post says:

I spoke with Donald from powernotebooks.com and he said that the white trim WILL NOT be available in the USA. He stated that the Sager reps took one look at it and said it was "butt ugly" and decided against selling it.


This was posted about 20 days ago, and I was wondering if you had any comments or if xoticpc has heard anything similar from Sager? Thanks.

Sager has originally said they were bringing in the White Trim and have since changed and will not be bringing it in. We removed the option from our site a few days back.

So to clarify, Sager is never bringing the white trim to the US and I should ignore your comment from the other day saying that you were still planning on offering the white trim at some point in the future?

That's unfortunate, the white trim looks so much better... :(
