Ok, I am on safe mode w/ netowrking, right now...man i feel like a refugee :/

anyways, i ahve sager np2096, bought just a month or two ago. my display keeps acting up real bad. Like blinking now and then, glitchy artifacts, buzzy artifacts, even BSOD, and once, a really scary whirring noise.

I am on safe mode, as I said; windows vista64 automatically diagnosed it as a Nvidia graphics problem...i have 9600M gt. Now I know about the heat issues i heard about, but mind you, it was NEVER really that hot, it was mildly warm all the time, no worse than normal. However, the fan kept starting louder, then softer, then louder, then softer , etc. Since i am in safe mode, the fan is now very quiet.

So anyways, i checked to see if the driver was out of date. It wasn't.
No critical updates i need to install, neither. i have an avir antivirus, scanned it, no prob.

HALP? should i disable the nvidia driver? i wanna play games tho!!! :(((

I would uninstall the nvidia driver and then boot back into Windows. Windows will try to install a driver on its own, and let it do that. That should be fine for navigating in your native res, but not for games. After that, go to laptopvideo2go and get the latest nvidia driver with Dox's modded INF for Clevo laptops. Tell me if that works :)
