thanks for posting, I'm sure alot of people out there want to see real-world benchmarks from customer systems.

Thanks indeed!
Do you maybe happen to have other games installed? Dead Space, CoD4, etc? Cheers!

Yeah go for Dead Space and Bioshock or something similar, everyone knows that even if you had 15 9800 GTX in SLi it wouldn't go over 5 fps in Crysis on very high lol... When I got my laptop I was most interested in Bioshock, but couldn't find too many, if any benchmarks on even similar hardware to mine.

Sorry, I don't have any other games at the moment. I don't have a a lot of time to play lately, and the time I do have, usually ends up being used on WoW. =X
I will by purchasing fallout 3 and farcry 2 soon after they come out. But I'm not sure how I would benchmark those games, as they do not have benchmarking tools like Crysis does. Suggestions?

http://www.fraps.com
Find a section of the game you can easily run through repeatedly, and check the framerate over a couple of runs. I'm not sure if FRAPS has a demo mode, but even without, it will give you a decent estimation of the framerate you can expect.

Nice! Hope other whitebook owners start positing up some benchmarks and FPS so the others can get a good idea of how it handles.

Thanks I will check it out. I'm going to buy far cry 2 next week, and will have some average fps using fraps if people are interested.

Is this better or worse than you got with Crysis?

MUCH better. This was my crysis score:
Run #1- DX10 1280x1024 AA=No AA, 64 bit test, Quality: High ~~ Last Average FPS: 29.63
I barely could stay above 30 fps on 1280X1024 on high quality.

Yup same here. This is good to know. I haven't gotten the game yet, but do the graphics compare? In other words, would you say it's a more efficient engine or a lack of advanced graphics features that make it perform better? And by lack I don't mean they're bad lol, I just mean no SSAO, Edge AA, and other stuff that slows down Crysis for minimal to no benefit.

I don't know if I'm qualified to comment on the game engines, but to my untrained eyes I would say that FC2 looks better in general, when compared to Crysis. FC2 imo has better lighting, better weapons model, lusher environments and better shadows.
