Recieved product. BUT one suggestion! regarding OS

recieved my sager n5793 that i ordered and im very happy with the price and service from xoticpc. one thing that slipped pass me was the NO OS installed on it and i realized that it was supposed to be ordered i quickly skimmed over the options list and just picked the things i wanted for sure and when i got to the OS part i thought it was simply a upgrade to ultimate and didnt realize it would come with no OS on it at all.


again not a deal breaker from using xoticpc again as everything else was perfect just thought it should be a little more in your face about it not coming with a OS standard as that obviously factors into the price and since it kinda sucks being all excited only to realize you cant power her up yet untill you load a OS.

also i see the drivers disc is that for xp or vista?

A lot of people who buy these computers like to install their own OS. I personally make a custom slipstreamed installer for each computer set up with all my favorite options and tweaks. There is a good article in the September 2008 issue of Maximum PC magazine on how do do this. It should be available on their website. Vista is very easy to install on your own with the default settings but if you don't feel comfortable doing it and don't have a spare copy for your new notebook you should probably order it pre installed.

Another advantage is for people who still prefer to use XP for whatever reason since XP is still supported on these machines. I'm not sure about XP 64 bit.

If the drivers you need aren't on the disk check sager's website for the latest ones. Be sure to install them in the order described in the manual.

The drivers are for both XP 32 bit and Vista 32 & 64 bit.
