Honestly it doesnt surprise me. What really surprises me is how bad Xfire is scaling on the laptop, as ATIs Xfire scales quite well on the desktop. ATI isnt going to be really competitive on the mobile front until they get the 4XXX chips out there. If they can get the 4870 scaled down, get it in a laptop, without causing a meltdown, they will have a winner.

I don't get this. Is this because Far Cry 2 isn't properly using the dual gpu's or something? The max fps with the dual's is really high, but the min and average are about the same? That's really weird.
I remember seeing how the Crossfire setup was able to get 30fps with Crysis in native res, and it isn't possible on a similar NP5796. How is it that the 5796 easily beats the OCZ here?

wait...misread the original.
OK...Could be just Crossfire doesn't work in this game. Have you tried any others? This game just came out and possibly the drivers just haven't been set up yet.
I always argue that you are better off getting the fastest single card over a dual card configuration. That there is no good reason to double up on cards unless you get the fastest cards available at the time.

We will try to have some Warhead comparisons up by Monday. What was noticed in Warhead is similar scores between Crossfire 3870's and the single 9800M GTX.
We have seen in the past that (as most of you know) ATI Drivers are lacking. Usually at the time when a new ATI Video Card is released the current games that are released at the same time as the video card run good. But newer or older games (from the release date of the card) do not perform that well.
