Below is information on loading XP on many different ASUS Machines. (G50VT, G71G etc..). Most drivers can be found from the Driver CD.

2: Extract driver into a folder
3: download Modded INF
4: Copy and paste INF file into the extracted driver folder before run setup.exe
5: Run Setup.exe

Sliptream RAID controller driver is required to use ENHANCED or RAID controller option.

XP driver for RAID controller:

the file for driver integration is iaStor.inf and it work for both RAID and SATA Enhance mode.

Everything works under XP except:
-IR Driver
-Direct Console
-Smart Log on
-ExpressGate with RAID set up

M50VM XP Drivers

For easy installation press F2 at asus logo screen to enter BIOS, go to Advanced tab and IDE Controller, setup SATA mode from Enhance to Compatible, press F10 and exit.

IR Driver will not work in XP.

There maybe a question mark on "Audio Device on High Definition Audio BUs" but the sound card works.
