Thermal Paste in new laptop

I just received my NP9260 laptop. In the bag of CDs, there is a small tube containing what I believe is Thermal Paste.

Wasn't the Arctic Silver Thermal Paste applied by XoticPC? Or am I supposed to apply the paste myself?

It was applied already, this is only extra for you in case you add another video card or change your CPU :D
