Hey,

I have a Sager NP5791 with an 8700m video card. I'm running the drivers that came with the system and I can't get the display to look correct on my monitor.

Trying to run a dual view setup, extending my desktop onto my monitor.

I have a 22inch benq with a native resolution of 1680x1050.

The benq is hooked to notebook via the dvi cable that came with it.

There is a display, but it is completely corrupted. Like going into windows XP safe mode.

Anyone have any ideas as to how I ca resolve this issue?

Is the Monitor running at 32bit color or 16bit?

I tried switching between 32 bit and 16 bit, didn't help.

Try using the VGA cable and see if the resolution comes out clearly. If that does not work please contact our technical support @ 1-(800) 741-2219

Not a whole lot of experience with this but.... dont you have to enable dual view from your GPU control center and configure your new display there? If you already did that, then maybe installing your screens drivers onto your laptop.... if it came with a cd that is. Hope that helps  and good luck.

The 5791 only has DVI out, not D Sub.

I guess i'll try calling the support number.
