Sager 5790 Questions

Hi, I have a few questions about my lappy. I have had it since it first came out and the hinge snapped on the right side and I was wondering what the procedure is to get that fixed.

Also is it possible if it goes back to you guys if it could it upgraded. Like the processor, ram, and hard drive. Is there are better video card for that machine that works in XP or is just worth it to leave the 7950 in it? Thanks for the help!

It's so sad hearing about injured lappys.:(
I would give Justin and team a phone call for quicker response and you can ask all the questions you want. They would be able to tell you straight away what you can do and such.
I'm surprised the hinge snapped, the compals and clevos (Sager and Force lines) are built rather well. I don't know how many times I have opened and closed my lid on my Force and it's still tight and solid.

Yeah I'll call them, but my friend bought one when I did got the same thing and his snapped too. It does seem kinda cheap with the small hinge support with a giant heavy 17" screen, but I guess thats just me :P

I've heard weak hinges are a design defect on the 579x models. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't happen to mine.
