I am interested in purchasing the Sager NP5797 but cannot for the life of me figure out which processor to select. The primary or most demanding use of the laptop will be gaming; Crysis being the most demanding title. Budget allowing these are the three processors I have to choose from:

Intel® P9600 45nm "Montevina" Core™2 Duo 2.66GHz w/6MB L2 On-die cache - 1066MHz FSB 25 watt

Intel® Q9000 45nm "Montevina" Core™2 Quad 2.0GHz w/6MB L2 On-die cache - 1066MHz FSB

Intel® T9800 45nm "Montevina" Core™2 Duo 2.93GHz w/6MB L2 On-die cache - 1066MHz FSB 35 watt

This is probably a no brainer to most of you out there but I would really appreciate the feedback!

i went with the P9600 for my 5797 for lower power consumption and lower heat...the performance difference between the p9600 and t9800 does not justify the cost

the q9000 is nice but the lower clock would make it inferior to the 9600 and 9800 in all but a very few games that utilize all four cores...ie GTA4 and a few others.

the only mobile quad worth considering for gaming is the qx9300 imo, and i'm thinking that i may pick up an Engineering sample on ebay for a few hundred some time over the summer if i end up unhappy with the p9600...though i doubt this will be the case.

for crysis i am sure that both of the dual cores would be satisfactory based on the results that some have been posting on the notebook review forums.

you will find that opinions vary on this subject.

i hope this helps somewhat; good luck!
