1) What is your budget?
Up to $2500

2) What size notebook would you prefer?
17" or bigger

3) What country are you buying this in?
Alberta Canada

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
Prefer Sager, or Asus

5) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook?
Mostly school work, internet surfing, music listening, and gaming (such as COD4, COD WAW, Star Craft)

6) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk?
Taking it with me to different places but I have no issue with weight.

7) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games?
I am shooting to have my next laptop boot up quickly, open applications quickly, and play such games Call of Duty, Star Craft, Age of Empires, Crysis.

8) How many hours of battery life do you need?
2 hrs aught to be enough. Mostly will be plugged in.

9) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person?
I trust XoticPC and the reviews I read.

10) What OS do you prefer? (more details below)
Vista 64 bit.

Screen Specifics

11) From the choices below, what screen resolutions would you prefer?
I am into good looking displays. At least 1680 x 1050 (I hear 1900 x 1200 makes the icons and text smaller?)

12) Do you want a glossy/reflective screen or a matte/non glossy screen?
Probably glossy, but whatever looks best..

Build Quality and Design

13) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
Sorta, id rather have a powerful laptop over style tho

14) When are you buying this laptop and how long do you want this laptop to last?
Before the fall semester (September). Around 3 - 6 years.

Notebook Components

15) How much hard drive space do you want; 80GB, 160GB, 250GB, 320GB, 500GB, 1TB, or 1.5TB?
320 or 500.

16) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a CDRW/DVD-ROM, CD/DVD Burner or Blu-Ray drive?
Everything including Blu Ray.

17) What speed CPU/Processor would you like? Dual core or Quad Core CPU?
Doesnt matter what type to me it is as long as its something fast that wont make my games lag...

Thank you for your help....

P.S. i was looking into these four laptops if this is useful...

The Computers you have selected look very nice. At the moment I would recommend either of the two Sagers that you have picked out. I am going to configure the two of them for you below. What I would consider is that even though the 9280 is much more powerful it also is 4.5 pounds heavier. If you are ok with that then the 9280 would be the most powerful computer in your price range. It certainly nocks the socks off of anything else on the market. I also would take a look at the 9250, which will be launching soon. The 9250 will have simliar processor support to the 5797, but have dual GTX280 graphics cards in SLI, and 3 hard drives.

Here are some config's

They are both in your budget. Honestly if you dont mind the weight the 9280 configured like this would kill everything out there. Let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to email me at my address in my signature.
