Are the drivers on the CD for both xp and vista and 32 bit and 64 bit operating systems?

Also, are there any drivers for linux? I'm thinking of dual booting

It would be the drivers for the OS's offered. So yes on some XP and Vista on others if only Vista offered then no XP not on there. Does Xotic provide Linux? If not then no, not offered.

umm that makes no sense ...

you can choose NO OS and just drivers and utilty software CD..
I already own windows xp 32 bit, and I have the windows 7 RC1

Linux usually comes with or has the drivers available to download easily, 99% of the time Linux comes with a working set of drives for your Ethernet controller/wireless internet needs so downloading the drivers you need is easy.

instead of dual booting windows 7/Vista with XP you can run 7 or vista nativly and install XP in virtualPC - so you would not have to reboot to be able to use XP or apps that only work with a 32-bit OS

So when i customize my laptop and i select NO OS Standard drivers and utility software cd only

Will the CD contain drivers for both 32/64 bit and xp/vista?

Even if it doesn't, is there a place where i can download them ? :D

not sure what the CD will come with but you can look up the manufacturers website for the drivers, i don't know which laptop your looking to buy,
if its a Sager/Clevo laptop then this site should have all the drivers you need
http://www.clevo.com.tw/en/e-services/download.asp

so... anyone? You ignorant little asshole! What part of your little pea brain does not get it? Are you that obtuse? I fear you are.

You asked I answered. You can wish and dream I can hem and haw but at the end of the day you get what you get.

If you want to make a federal case out of it go for it.

OK you asked about Linux I said I doubt provided unless offered? What part of that seems complicated to your underdeveloped brain?

I won't even go on to Vista or XP as your pure stupidity announces itself prior to your introduction.

You know what? If you want to be stupid your entire life so be it.

Grow a brain cell.

I for the most part explained the answer to your, I must say moronic question. Other than the Justin's I hope you do well!

Oh yea, welcome, you made a great impression!:p:laugh:

Edit: I was going to delete but I read his response again and he deserves. Sorry Justin. I mean my post made no sense? Sorry

I seem to have misread your post. I thought you meant that if you select XP as the operating system, you get XP drivers and vice versa with Vista, so I was just trying to say that I was going to select the NO OS option...

and HOLY SHIT! Calm the fuck down and quit nerd raging you dickhead

Not to mention your reply was really vague. It basically said, if the drivers for that OS are offered, they are there? WTF? Thanks, I didn't know that already!

What laptop do you plan on getting? you can find most of the drivers on the manufacturer's website, if its a Sager/Clevo laptop then use this
http://www.clevo.com.tw/en/e-services/download.asp

and as for Linux, it generally has the drivers for most hardware ready to be installed after you installed Linux - most Linux OSs come with universal Ethernet/wireless wifi drivers so being able to download the other drivers is a piece of cake

not necessarily. in my case, msi utility isn't available in 64bit. i haven't found it at least. so even if you got 64bit bundled with your msi based laptop, you won't be getting the compatible utilities.

EDIT: nevermind, finally found a downloadable, working version.
