Resolution question: High Res or Medium?

Sager 5793: What are the negatives around using the WUXGA (1920x1200) VS WSXGA+ (1680x1050)?
This is not to be used as a gaming machine (OK some times) but mostly surfing on the web and working with family photos in Photoshop and playing videos. Image editing will be great with the high resolution as well as videos.

I am worried that the characters will be very small and not easy to read. If the lower resolutions are good to look at it will not be a problem.
I have no experience with these high resolutions.

For imaging/video/gaming related purposes, you should go for the glossy screen. And high definition images/video will look much better at higher resolutions. And since you don't have experience with such high resolutions, you can always lower them, when you're just surfing the web and the like. But I would personally recommend getting the higher resolution monitor. :)
