Let me be the first to say "Congrats!" I know what you mean, I've been obsessing over this whole issue for over 10 days now, and finally placed my order yesterday, and I definitely feel all better. :D

I see that you had a little more money to spend than I did Tranced

Nah...what makes you say that? That was my hubby's AlienWare budget he had capped me at, with firm conditions attached thereto. LOL And I managed to stay $1.95 under and have myself a ZALMAN NC2000 on order, too. :) So the next 20 of my paychecks are pretty much his.

Ya, that's my next purchase. I don't want to run this thing long without a cooler.

The ZALMANs came highly recommended by the peeps over at notebookreview.com. I got one, although a geek buddy of mine said I should get an AC powered one, rather than USB powered. I figured I compromise by plugging it into a self-powered hub. lol But I don't know if it's gonna be any good, I have a ZALMAN CPU heatsink on my CPU, which looks like a massive porcupine, and it rocks, keeps my stuff inside at a comfy 43C under load, 31C idle. The 9262 is too big for the 1000, though... oops.... I'm rambling... sorry
