... work with the NP2090? ... I know it will most likely work, but I wanted to know whether I will get the most out of its "SATA 3Gb/s interface with Native Command Queuing (NCQ), the fastest interface option available today, enhances system performance levels." ... thing is, the drive will default to 1.5GB/s automatically if the interface in the NP2090 isn't 3GB/s, so it won't make sense for me to buy it ... !? If anyone else has more knowledge on the subject, please advise ...

I wanted to switch from the 5400rpm 1.5Gb/s Fujitsu in the NP2090 to this Seagate as I feel the Fujitsu is a bottleneck :(

Good News ... It is supported!!!

The answer is on page 196 of this data sheet for the Southbridge (Intel® I82801HB ICH8) of the GM965 Chipset.

So I can upgrade to a 7200.2 3Gb/s HDD :D
