holy crap!! talk about not messing around...i put in my order 3-1-08 for my np9262. had credit card issues with my bank putting a cap on my daily limit of 2500 so they refused the transaction. i thought it would be a big delay, but let me tell you all, XOTIC proceeded with the assembly of my notebook even though they hadnt recieved my funds yet. well my funds cleared on 3-6, and i recieved my computer today 3-7. talk about AWESOME service hu!! thanx Justin and all. will definitely do business again with you guys. take care, now time to game!!

I'm lovin' this company...simply amazed by customer service like this...I ordered mine on 2/28 and don't have it yet but that's MY doing as I'm getting it painted and personalized  ! I've received art mock-ups and everything and I'm very pleased with what I was shown!

later and congrats on the new system....

Please post piccies of your rig as soon as you get it! I would love to see their custom paint jobs. I almost got mine done, too. But then the geek took over and ordered badder specs for the money, and the girlie in me lost out on her "pretties"... lol I might get it done later, if that's an option.

TraNceD.gURL, i will defintiely do that! :D

When it gets here (my guess is the 24th) I'll start a thread w/ pics...

I HAD to get the paintjob/personalizastion because it was the only way I could take away the self-imposed 'sting' of not buying an m17x. I know what I bought blows the m17x away from a performance standpoint (heck, I maxed the darn thing out!!!), but the 17x (IF Alienware EVER decides to release it) was sure a purrrty thing!!! Yeah, that's sad...

But I'll definitley post a thread...

later,
pat!

I actually went one step further. I was stuck in Phase 2 of a fully spec'd out Alienware m15x, and cancelled my order after doing some more research online, and stumbling across the Sager and finding out some not-so-flattering facts about AW, their CS, their BBB rating, and their HW building skills (or the lack thereof). It was agonizing to give up all those shiny blue LEDs (what can I say, it was an impulse buy and I have an extreme affinity for LEDs especially of the blue and pink variety  ) So I was looking into the 5793 with a custom design, but decided after sleeping on it that I can deal with ugly on the outside, if it's sweetness on the inside. So I put my all my money into the 9262, and guess what? I'm still 30 bucks under budget compared to the m15x.

So, I'll get my paint job later (hopefully), if that's possible? Maybe Justin can enlighten me if we can send our lappies back at a later date to get some awesomeness applied to the outside, too)

that's a great story! I'm sure Justin can help...even if it's not sending back maybe knowing enough about the industry to recommend someone who could do it!

I've seen the mock-up of what I asked for and I couldn't be happier!

As an aside, my current AW (m7700, which is awesome WHEN it's working) has died for the fourth time and methinks mothership AW is finally going to refund/replace it for me. Really a disappointing experience and so unlike what I've experienced so far w/ Xotic!

Well, at least they are going to hook you up, it sounds like.... too bad you had to go through that though. I mean, when we're talking this kind of money, the build better be rock solid and the components top-notch! I'd expect the usual mass-producing suspects to cut corners, but AW? That just kind of surprised me, because they used to have a great rep. Anyhoo, XoticPC is doing it right (IMHO), so far I am completely happpy with their service... if only I could see that Phase 4 status change  Not really, though, I'd rather sit here and wait and Xotic treating my baby right, and taking their time making sure all is well before it arrives at my door step.

Agreed TraNceD.gURL! Agreed! Slow and steady is what I'm all about right now w/ this new build.....no question. That and the fact that I'm travelling a lot this month means i'm in no real hurry!

pat!

You can send your laptop back in for a custom paint job at a later date, however, i do not know if you will want to part with the laptop for a month after using it for a while and experiencing the power!

Errrr.... ummmm.... *grumble* Could I just send you the housing? I have this nice little anti-static work surface I could rig up for the insides, I won't be using its KB or touch pad at home anyway.... *eg*

I'll bet all exterior vanity will melt away when you see the screen on that monster and let its performance take your breath away!

I can't wait.... 'til I get my hands on mine. You're probably right, I'll forget all about that silly paint job once I got my hands on it.

TO JUSTIN:

Thanks for having patience with getting me my order and information I requested in a timely manner. I placed my order in the last week of February, and my laptop is at home waiting for me, arrived in the first week of March, I also had a 2500 limit on my debit card and Xotic did everything and more including splitting up my payments to get our transaction rolling as smooth as possible. I have already recommended Xotic to about 3 other people in the military and have had a great experience with Sager and the people at XOTIC who build their boxes. Outstanding CUSTOMER SERVICE and GREAT UNITS AT GREAT PRICES!

Thanks a ton....
