You can utilize any Bluetooth GPS unit by pairing it with the 9262 as long as you also have some type of mapping software installed that recognizes the GPS signal. I use an I-Trek Bluetooth GPS with IGuidance software on the NP9262.

I'm planning on hooking my Garmin up via USB (to conserve batt power on GPSu not the laptop, since IT is going to stay in the car hooked to an inverter while we're geocaching with the handheld). No more need to buy and download expensive maps 8)

All the laptops come with wireless recievers.... if you have wifi, you can connect to it.

You also have the Bluetooth module, which might work if you`re close enough.
The wireless adapter also is a good choice.

No. For wireless connectivity you only need the wireless adapter, which is included.
The router for example helps you make your own wireless network at home, if you already have a cable internet connection. Or it helps you connect both a desktop and laptop to the same link.
It is recommended if you want to use your internet wirelessly and not move around the laptop through the house with the cable attached :)
