It depends on which form of payment you chose.
For Checks it can take up to 2 weeks to clear
For paypal E-checks it takes up to 3-4 days.
For credit cards you instantly move on to the next phase.
For cash or wire transfers it is also instant.
You can also refer to the xoticpc website http://www.xoticpc.com/payment-information-ip-14.html hope this helps!:)

Yea, no. I ordered with a Credit Card and it took 4 days for phase 1 to complete. (There were no credit card issues) Granted it was around the holidays, it is still slow. New Years is 1-2 days, not 4. Phase 2 is in its 5th day now. Thats pretty slow for a harddrive upgrade and wireless card. Never the less I am dying to get my ASUS M60J-A1.
EDIT: that being said, Xotic still has the best customer service Ive ever had so far. Ive never talked to so many people and had so many questions answered so quickly. Very outstanding. Im just to impatient to wait haha.

Keep in mind if you submitted your order over the holidays, Xotic PC was closed on the 24th and 25th of December for the Christmas holiday, and for the New Years holiday we were closed on the 31st of December and the 1st of January. If you submitted your order on either one of these holiday periods, then your order would have stayed in phase 1 until we resumed business hours on Monday.

Alright now, I know lots of folks get antsy for their new notebook, it's only natural, but two things to keep in mind:
1) The good folks at Xotic are not robots working 24/7 + 7 (Thus some days off for holiday on occasion)
2) Impatience leads to sloppiness, patience leads to good builds going through QC (and good food).:):p;)

3) Xoticpc might be out of stock. I had to wait nearly 4 weeks for the backorder to clear for my G51J. Don't whinge!

Yea, I realize its the holidays. Im being patient. I have had to hold back from contacting them to inquire exactly what the hold up is. It just wasnt the instant payment and all that that is touted with CC purchases.
I also assume that the silly delay for the small amount of work I am having done is not that my computer is the delay but other builds are delaying the start of mine. I get the holidays, I just had 14 days before school started when I placed my order (after xmas, during new years). I assumed I would atleast have it shipped before school started, but now on day 11 of my order, my ASUS M60J-A1 (which is not out of stock as most ppl here are gamers where I am not and neither is this laptop) is still in phase 2. It wasnt alot of work being done. But whatever, I am not disappointed with Xotic. I am still thrilled with their service, I am just disapointed I wont have it in time. Not their fault I got my hopes up lol.
