i'm a periodic laptop buyer so i'm looking for a decent laptop that i can replace in 1/2 years , so the aim is a relatively good machine but not to uber.
1) What is your budget?
1150-1200 US
2) What size notebook would you prefer?
don't have really preferences regarding size
3) What country are you buying this in?
Australia (if anybody could inform me on relative delivery costs that would save me some time xP)
4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
none
5) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook?
casual gaming, wordprocessing, email, general activites related to a uni student ^^
6) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk?
taking it to different places
7) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games?
well , left4dead 2 and i was hoping to run COD:MW2
8) How many hours of battery life do you need?
um , well 2 would be most preferable but i can be flexible
9) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person?
yes , i don't really care how it looks
10) What OS do you prefer? (more details below)Vista home premium is fine , not rly a big deal since i won't be maxing the ram nyway
11) From the choices below, what screen resolutions would you prefer?
no particular preference
12) Do you want a glossy/reflective screen or a matte/non glossy screen?
no particular preferences though i won't be using it outdoor so much.. so maybe not matte
13) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
no
14) When are you buying this laptop and how long do you want this laptop to last?
well asap rly , and say 1/2 years
15) How much hard drive space do you want; 80GB, 160GB, 250GB, 320GB, 500GB, 1TB, or 1.5TB?
160gb + is all good
16) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a CDRW/DVD-ROM, CD/DVD Burner or Blu-Ray drive?
cd/dvd burner yes
17) What speed CPU/Processor would you like? Dual core or Quad Core CPU?
dual core
so ye , just a casual gamer , i'll probably use it more for work related purposes once uni starts but the capability to run most new games at an ok setting is probably preferable. , thanks in advance =)
