Sager 9262 screen shimmer/flickering

When I turn the brightness up using the FN+f9 key once I get it bright enough to read the screen well it starts to get a shimmering/flickering issue. Kind of like what an old CRT would do if the refreash rate was set too low. Anyone else seen this kind of problem with their 9262? I have the 1920x1200 screen.
