Just don't expect the high end 9 series like say, a 9800M GTX to release anytime soon. The 8800M GTX in the Sagers is still too new! :)

I'll be getting this one:

1GB NVIDIA® GeForce® 9800 GX2 – Dual GPU Technology

In my new Alien desktop.....

Its too bad they discontinued the 8800 Ultras... comparable scores with only a single gpu

I read an article that questioned a recall on the new GPUs because of overheating issues.... hopefully it won't be a problem.

 Already? Damn, I didn't see that recall issue...still probably going to go that way as it won't ship until late April anyway...can you point me to the article or should i just google?

thanks for the heads up!

pat!

thanks OCG, i've also read some reviews where it doesn't perform as well as to 8800 Ultra's in SLI...but here's the rub...the machine i'm getting is w/ Alienware credit, this desktop features the newest chipset and they don't offer anything in SLi...so I'll probably have to go w/ it but because i could essentially SLi the 9800 later, i'd double the peformance...if needed...yeah, in a perfect world, i'd pay less for two 8800 ultras but unfortunately that's not one of their build options...

later and THANKS VERY MUCH for the link!
