Hey Xotic,

I will be pre-ordering my Asus N61JQ-A1 soon and cannot wait!! :)

I have a couple of questions tho,

1. should i get the IC diamond cooling? i dont really know what that is and would like some help in that area

2. I plan on getting the extra battery, but does anyone know what ill get out of these 6-cells?

3. If i get microsoft office will it come with the actual disks? (my mom wants to put it on her lappy)

#1 Yes, I can do it myself but if ask yes. Also I believe Asus has stickers to try and void the warranty if you do yourself. The long and the short is to pay $35 for an expert to apply it is a great investment. I think you should do no question!

#2 Only if you will use it to extend battery life on a day to day level. Li-Ion lose their ability to hold a charge to some level regardless of use. So do not buy now if your plan is only to use later? Does not work like that.

#3 You really asked that question? I mean really? You go to a car dealership and buy one car why do you think mom gets a second? Not to be rude but that question on some sites would get you shut down. It is theft it is illegal. I am not going to preach but regardless of what you get your plans are a crime. You should remove those thoughts from your head.

I am not the police but when I do things that are not correct I don't post and ask. Do not let your mom jump on your license. She needs her own. It is just fair.

I completely understand and agree because it is theft. However I am asking simply because if you go into Best buy and get it, you can install it on 3 computers (at least thats what i am told) so i was wondering if the same applies for a laptop ordered on line...

I have heard about that. I have only heard about with OS but same Idea. It is a great value and great idea. Make it easy for the family to get instead of encouraging them to do what many do in the real world.

The answer is no that is not the version offered here. I wish I knew more but I assume that is a M$ retail version not an OEM? While the discussion of that is esoteric in some regards? It is and was a special deal through M$. Contact them and read boards they do offer great deals some times. I think a friend got 3 W7 licenses for $200 or less? Not a bad deal.

Sorry I misunderstood, I did not mean to be a jerk. Much of what you want is possible but how it is asked becomes more important than some might say it should be. But it is how we live.

no prob man...i didnt specify very clearly...anywho i just ordered my n61jq....and am estatic and CANNOT wait until it comes...im also very happy i ordered from this site because everyone has been extremely helpful
