1) What is your budget?
about 1k or lower

2) What size notebook would you prefer?d. Desktop Replacement; 17"+ screen

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
dell seem decent

5) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook?
online college and alot of gameing

6) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk? minly on the desk

7) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games?
WoW, Bioshock, oblivion.....
8) How many hours of battery life do you need?
no more than 2-3 hrs

9) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person?

im good with around 250g

For the budget you will have to go with dual core, which is fine anyways, and you'll only need about 250 gigs of space.

The Asus K701C-A2 seems to do fine, the only thing I upgraded for your example was the thermal compound to Diamond and the 640 in storage (not needed as the default is 320) would put you at $1042, without the storage upgrade you'd be at $973 (with the thermal compound).

You could upgrade your warranty for 100 dollars more, might not be a bad idea.
