NP5791 Onboard Mic Issue

Ive been having some issues with my onboard mic recently. I can't turn it off for some reason. I've never had this issue before, I'm going into my recording devices and trying to decrease it's volume levels and mute it entirely, but it simply wont turn off. It's causing feedback when i'm trying to listen to anything through my speakers.

Any ideas?
