2) What size notebook would you prefer?--- 15"
a. Ultraportable; 12" screen or less
b. Thin and Light; 13" - 14" screen

3) What country are you buying this in?----USA

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

I would perfer the Asus but I am open to other quality units

5) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook?

Streaming video,radio,Nascar Race View. Movie downloads, watching movies via hdmi to hd tv, Internet surfing, light game play.

6) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk? Will be used at home and travel.

7) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games?

Nascar Racing, Deer Hunter etc

8) How many hours of battery life do you need? 3hr +

Build Quality and Design

13) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
Who doesn't like style, but it is not all that important.

14) When are you buying this laptop and how long do you want this laptop to last? I am using a 6yr old Dell Dimension XPS 2nd Gen desktop that still runs great, hopefully a lap top can match it.

The Asus K52JR-A1 is probably a good choice for you. If you can afford to I would put the blu-ray drive in it making the total price just about $960.00. If you don't get the blu-ray it is less than 900. The i5 CPU should impress you if you are using a 6 year old desktop. It comes with a 500GB Hard drive and an ATi 5000 series card.
