OK if a Pac10 fan I will take. If not them there is fighting words son.:p
I won't talk current but Washington State and Oklahoma State are not traditional power houses. I know Barry Sanders came from OS so did Thurman Thomas so not a chump school but not a power house.
I have not even read pre season top 25 lists. I am counting on you guys to do my scouting.:)
I think I might start reading up?;)
oh yes, i am a pac 10 fan and washington state alum. i was there after leaf and pre-jason gesser. the dark ages..lol.

Well took me a little longer than I wanted but I finally finished off the SCII campaign. Time to switch focus to MP.
PAC10 came really close to getting that super conference going. It was practically a done deal right up until the Big 12 gave Texas the chance to have it's own tv network. Texas being the ringleader took that and the others decided to stay. Still I think it is only a matter of time before we see what is left of the Big 12 fall apart. Eventually I think we will have the super conferences.

I think the super conference would have happened, but i think in the end at the last hour, very influential people in high places in texas and at other colleges talked texas into staying with what was left of the big 12, convincing them joining the PAC and making it a 16 team conference would have not been in its best interest and the interest of college sports at this time. UO, OSU, TTU and TAMU would have followed Texas anywhere...the future I think wil be 4-6 16 team conferences, and the top teams from each of those conferences playing for a national championship in a playoff.
the next few years in college sports should be interesting with march madness expanding the field, and once these new conferences are aligned.

Actually from what I heard TAMU was ready to forge its own path and show that it wasn't hog tied to Texas. I think they would have eventually joined the PAC 16 but the SEC was hard after them and TAMU was listening and seriously debating joining the SEC instead. The SEC ultimately wanted Texas and OU more than anything but it didn't look like there was much of a shot of that happening.
I think there is going to be a lot of maneuvering in the background these next few years because it is obvious these conferences are eventually going to face this issue again and probably soon. I like the ACC and don't mind FSU staying in it so long as they get pro-active and go after some bigger teams. If they are just going to react rather than act, which they were doing when everything looked like it was going to hit the fan, then I was quite happy with FSU going to the SEC because the ACC was going to get picked apart and be a much crappier conference.

as much as TAMU wanted to go its own way, i think the powers to be (texas government) would prevent it in the long run. I think if the ACC were to make a move, they need to grab some big east teams, or else the ACC will be picked apart by the SEC.

It would have been a mess. Baylor was really trying to not get left behind as horrible as they are in football. Apparently they have some powerful alumni from there that was trying to create problems for the other teams in order to get in on the package.
See unfortunately that is about all the ACC can grab is some Big East teams. Not that they are all bad but I just don't see them making the conference a big enough draw as far as getting a lucrative contract. WVU, Pitt, Syracuse, and maybe USF would be the likely targets. Big 10 will go for ND and some Big East teams as well. Rutgers would be one and I think they would want Pitt also. SEC is going to have to grab from all over and what I feel is going to end up happening is they will eventually grab some ACC teams because as much prestige as that conference has already, they won't settle for some scraps. It's going to get dirty that is for sure.

I think the Pac-10 and Big 10 arethe 2 conferences that would come out on top in a super conference race, less political influence and infighting, as long as the big 10 got their prized ND. ACC, SEC would fight each other for teams and one of them would end up on the short end of the stick, i think. IMO the best option is to dissolve all the conferences as is, and start from scratch, and draw up new regional conferences...but that may make too much sense and would still piss some school off.

Yeah I agree that one of the two would end up with the short end of the stick, likely the ACC because the only teams they could pull from the SEC are the ones not worth as much whereas the SEC could manage to pull out the top teams in the ACC. I feel like the SEC could put together a top notch super conference that would stand up to the other two if they pulled teams from the ACC and Big East. I forgot that Louisville is one of the teams that would possibly be looked at by both.
Very much agree that the best option would be to dissolve and do new regional conferences but nobody is going to agree to that.

There is no way the Big Ten would dissolve and they have way to much power and clout no one could make them.
Also because of history and tradition I am not for the dissolving of any of the main conferences (Big Ten/Pac 10) the others sure start over fine with me.
I might be wrong on this but I think the Big Ten can take or leave ND. ND needs the Big Ten far more than the Big Ten needs them. Remember when Penn State joined they were going to cake walk the conference? Didn't exactly happen did it?
You throw any super team in the Big Ten and they will pay. There will be attrition from physical play. They used to joke Big Ten Little 8 but it has been a long time since that was true. Any given year as many as 5 teams on any given Saturday can hold the field respectably with most teams in the Nation.

Actually I will have to disagree about ND partially. Love them or hate them, I have no love for them, ND really has no need financially to join any conference. They are loaded due to just their donations and the fact that they have their own tv conference with all games shown on national television. What they do need a conference for is because of the BCS they could find themselves being one of those teams that has a great season but won't make the BCS Championship because they don't play in a conference championship and started to low in initial polls.
I can see where you are coming from if we put in one of the teams in another conference inside the Big 10. They probably would get banged up and have a hard time not losing important players that would help them win. Of course the same could be said if you took one of the Big 10 teams and put them in the SEC or PAC10. Not get banged up but probably have a hard time winning against the constant athleticism. True that their are some major players in the Big 10 that can hold their own. Recent history hasn't been too favorable though for them against some of the elites from other conferences. Been a pattern of OSU winning the conference but then losing outside the conference. Still though I like some of the Big 10 teams like Iowa that will play whoever and play smash mouth ball. Michigan needs to go back to that and soon.
I have had my G73 for about a month and a half. Today, I hit the windows button between the FN and ALT keys and my screen went psychodelic. The left half of the screen is nothing but multicolored lines and the right portion is a greyed out pink with psychodelic colors. What is the issue and can I fix it or do I have to send it in?

When you restart the same stuff happens? If so then it is the PSOD and unfortunately you have to RMA, no way to fix it. Surprised that it was caused by hitting the windows button, normally it happens when there is a resolution change.

Yes, there was a resolution change. I was playing an older game Capitolism 2 and using Yahoo IM at the same time. Unfortunatly the only way to go from the game back to Yahoo was by using the Windows button. The shitty thing for me is that I'm in Afghanistan and my future here is uncertain. I could be going home in a month or be staying until December. I won't know for sure until the middle of September. If I hook another monitor up to it will it work ok until I come home to RMA it or is this something I need to RMA right now?

Yep, you can hook up another monitor to it and use that until you get a clearer picture of whether you will be returning soon or not.

Thanks for the responses fellas. I guess I'll have to go to the PX and find a monitor now. This sucks, but at least I'll still be able to use it to e-mail and chat with the family back home. I have never hooked up another monitor. If I just hook it up does it just show a mirror immage of the laptop, but without the PSOD? I mean will I see the start menu, all my icons, etc or is there something I need to do so I can see that? If so then that may not work as I can't see any of the left side of the screen to set up another monitor.

Yes there is, I forget where the setting is (I think somewhere in power management) but there is an option to set what action the screen takes when an external monitor is detected, you can either keep it going, activate a screen saver or shut it off. I just forget where the setting is >_<

Quick question guys and gals. I got my G73JH A-2 about a month ago and has been running GREAT! BUT I have been playing Starcraft 2 a bit lately and it seems like Starcraft 2 runs horribly on this laptop. It ran great on my desktop on the beta with ultra settings 1080p with my GTX260 core 2 quad q9400 @ 3.2ghz and 4 gigs of ddr2 1200 it NEVER slowed down quite like it does on this laptop. I'm curious. If I were to update my graphics drivers (they are from September of last year) will I risk anything with my machine? I Would really like to update em but I've read some horror stories about it. I do have the 209 BIOS. Also, how do I make the keyboard lights stay on through post? Now they only turn on after I log into my user account in windows.

ASUS supposedly has released a Cat 10.1 set that you could try and hunt down. The ATi reference drivers seem to be hit and miss, some have no problems some have lots. You can always install them and if you have issues go into safe mode and roll back.

G73 with 206 BIOS and stock drivers, I have had no problems with SCII. Everything on ultra and runs smoothly even with a ton of units on screen. Only once did I ever experience any kind of frame drop and that was during a certain mission in the campaign which was overflowing with units at the end(anybody who has played through it knows what I'm talking about). Even then I was still able to micro fairly well and it lasted only for a short while.

They should be announcing the new iPod Touch soon, interested to see what features they decide to implement in it.

My family names everything; we name all our iPods after their color or function. So Blooregard is a blue nano, Pinkerton is a pink shuffle, Tocame is a touch, Tezawari is the iphone. Tocame and Tezawari mean "touch me" in Spanish and Japanese, respectively.
It is quite possible my family is a bunch of nerds.

If they are going to act all bitchy and pull this kind of bs then you might as well tell them to kiss your ass and move on.
I hear you on the ice cream thing. Supposedly 110 outside right now. Of course I'm back to dieting and working out so I need to cut back on ice cream. Of course I could try and get one of those protein smoothies which is a part of my diet.
Well, I was going to leave...and then my mother got laid off. I didn't want to leave if I didn't have to...not that they pay me much anyway. The whole thing just pisses me off.
Just as I was going to get ice cream, it started pouring down rain. Now I am too cold for ice cream and am contemplating soup. I think that will work just as well: something comforting along with a good movie or show...maybe Firefly.

That sucks, definitely a bit of a difficult situation at that point. Every penny counts these days.
Oh snaps! More rep for mentioning Firefly. Of course with that happiness comes the eventual sadness and the thoughts of what could have been had Fox not completely screwed up when putting that show on air. I will never forgive them for that stupidity.

Ah, I love Firefly. I'm still pissed it got canceled. That said, I'm also still bitter about Jericho. I used to love Cartoon Network until they lost their minds and started showing live action programming. I'm assuming that as an effort to compete with Nick and Disney...pfft. I have a hard time finding any channel that I really like. FX is good for random movies I guess. USA is basically NCIS marathons by the time I get home. Spike is mostly UFC and SyFy(WTF were they thinking with this name change) is just awful movies that I can't believe people actually pay to make but of course they are so bad that they are funny. I was starting to get into AMC and then they took it off of regular cable.

Confession: my family loves those stupid Syfy original movies. We turn off the phones, make a ton of snacks, and essentially have a non-stop laughfest from start to finish. Ever see Mystery Science Theatre 3000? That's the sort of commentary we make.

Ha, see that is when those SyFy movies become better, when you have a group to laugh at them. Like I said, some of them are just so horrible that you have to burst out laughing. Love that common phrase, sounds like you and your family will want to see that new Piranha movie coming out.

Your disclaimer is not as fun as my standard disclaimer. :p
The phrase comes from this stupid scene in one of Syfys original piranha movies about giant, killer piranhas. The piranhas actually start flying out from the sea (:eeek2:) to bring terror to the masses. My little brother turned to me and said "Wait...but won't they die? Piranhas can't breathe!" so I said "Maybe they know that. Maybe they're fuckin' kamikaze piranhas."

All Syfy movies are similar; I think they just use madlibs to write scripts.
A(n) [animal] undergoes scientific experiments to find cure for [illness] and it goes horribly wrong. Nearby, [monosyllable name], hero of the story, catches on to the top secret project, despite being just a(n) [average small-town profession]. He/She tries to take the story higher up to [town official] but gets laughed at. [Town official] is the first to die, while aforementioned hero yells "I told you so!" Hero teams up with, [another monosyllabic name], who just happens to be a local scientist. Together they save the day with the help of pyrotechnics, despite not knowing a damn thing about explosives. Cut to credits.
That ^ should earn me an Oscar.
I hate killing time at work, mostly because the offices are all open and it's hard to hide anything. Sometimes I say I'm going to work in one of the back offices and then hide back there with my phone or a laptop and waste time.

HAHAHAHA! Yep, that is the basic plot for almost all of the stories. It may not give you an Oscar but fill in the blanks and take it to SyFy and I'm sure they will produce it.
I don't even bother hiding anything. At this point the people here know that if I'm typing a bunch of stuff real fast then I'm doing something personal. They can't really say much because when it actually does get busy I do 75% of the work.

Yes, it sort of sucks for her. Sucks for me as well because this week is the one she wanted to use to go out and buy gifts for people. She wanted to get me a shirt with something dirty written in Russian along with one of those crazy fur hats as well. Looks like I won't be getting them :(
Kinder eggs are indeed the ones with the little toys in them. You can get some interesting toys inside of them. My best friends family is of German origins so they have given me a bunch in the past and the daughter-in-law of a coworker is also German so she has given me some.

Well if wasting time is what you need how about this:
I am 222.3 lbs with shoes on atm, by Mid october I need to be in a bit better shape and 200 lbs with shoes on. ATM I am working out M-F for about 1.5 hours. M/W/F is 30-40 min of cardio with 50-60 min of weights (all muscle groups x 2 sets x 2 exercises) and T/Th is 45-50 min of cardio (30 min bike and 15-20 eliptical) and Abs only.
So the key for me I think is my eating, I have bad eating habits and I really have to get a handle on them to get to my goal by mid-october.

Are you trying to slim down, bulk up, or just decrease % body fat while increase muscle mass? You have a solid routine, however I don't recommend doing cardio on your lifting days - it can actually have an adverse affect on your progress. It's good that you're targeting all muscle groups though.
What I'd recommend is do intensity focused cardio to supplement your lifting. Instead of just doing a 30 min bike ride at a normal pace, start with a 5 minute warmup, then do 1 minute "as fast as humanly possible", just absolutely the most intense cardio you can do, and then another minute to cool down. Repeat this intense/cooldown combo a couple of times, then finish the ride or run with a slower pace which still raises your heart rate.
The nice thing about intensity training with cardio is that it will have you burning carbs literally for the next 24 hours, even while you're sleeping, as your body recovers. Increase the number of intense reps (or the length of intensity) as you progress with your workout.
(sorry, my dad is a physical trainer, so a lot of it rubs off on me. By far the most difficult part of ANY routine is tackling the diet - that is what I have trouble with too. But it's good you've identified the problem fast!)

My bike ride is far from normal. I do a 3 min warm up @ level 9, then I bump the level to 11 for 2 min, ramp to 12 for 2 min, ramp to 13 for 2 min, ramp to 14 for 2 min (my current max level) all while maintaining 100 RPM. Then I ramp down to 11 for 2 min and start the cycle over. I do that for 16 minutes, then the rest of the ride is about level 9, then a 3 min "cooldown" at level 8 @ 100 RPM. Then I jump over to the weights.
I am 5'10 1/2" so I am pretty big in the shoulders and chest already, what I am aiming for is a tone and slimming of the stomach (what guy isn't). Which means slightly increasing muscle mass while sliming and toning the muscle groups.
If I were to switch to an intense cardio like that I would probably do intervals of 1 Minute medium intensity and 2-3 minutes high intensity, and do that cycle about 4-5 times. Then do a cooldown on the end of about 3-4 minutes.
I suppose that I could do a split session, go and do weights in the afternoon around 1:30 and then on my way home (about midnight) hit a 40-45 min intense cardio session. Then go home and chill for about an hour and a half and then go to sleep on M/W/F and just keep T/Th how they are.

My bad, that sounds like some very good cardio you have going there. Just remember you want to keep your heart rate elevated at all times, and have it experience a controlled spike during the core of your workout.
And if you're going to do cardio on your lifting days, then I believe it is best to do it after the lifting and not before. Other than that you have a great routine, get the diet taken care of and you'll be where you want in no time!

Three days cardio two days strength training. Major diet adjustments. Regardless of what anyone says to reduce abdominal mass/fat you must burn calories. There is no way of isolating and removing from a specific area. And funny thing is the place you most want to reduce is likely to be the last to show identifiable change.
If your short terms goals are an overall weight reduction then yes targeted plans might do. Will not be your abdomen. But if long term or even short term you want to get rid of your belly? Calorie usage vs calorie intake is the only way.
I would suggest you cardio because it burns more calories and will give you the greatest chance of achieving your short term goal. Once that has passed add weights.
I am the same height as you with a muscular build. I have gone from 210 (fat) to 187 still a slight belly. OK not really a belly but no 6 packs. It takes some serious time.

I am endo also. 5' 11" 29" inseam. 34" inseam woulda been 6' 4"? Not really important but why I am big boned an muscular.
None of this is really important other than a health standpoint. The belly fat dictates some real health issues. I do store on my belly. Those who retain on there hips. Might look funny but from a health standpoint they are much better off.
Funny thing about this belly fat storage? If you will indulge me for a moment. The existence of or removal of is not what is critical.
It was learned with Cholesterol drugs. They used them to reduce cholesterol levels. When studies came back it was clear that the desired reduction in heart failure and stroke was not reduced. High cholesterol was an indicter not the cause.
It is the same with the storage of fat on the stomach vs the hips. The reduction is nothing more than cosmetic.
There are underlying factors that are not understood. A risk has been identified. It does not appear to adjust the long term survivability. It appears to be nothing more than an indicator.
Not that the drug company's would tell you this when selling you their latest and greatest?
On belly fat open a paper today it is all over. But that is basically 5+ year news. They count on a short attention span.

The HIIT training Frost mentioned works. Mav has a good workout routine going. I'm actually about the same size as him and also focusing on cutting more weight. Originally I was in a big hurry because I wanted to join the military soon. While I still might go the military route I'm going to do some school first. Anyways I really let myself go after college just because I fell into the whole MMO trap. Started playinga ton of WoW and did nothing else and bam I'm all of a sudden 280 which was really bad. Used to play Lacrosse so this huge weight gain was awful and I hate that I let it get that bad. Hell I didn't even realize until I looked at pics of myself and I was basically going "WTF!". I'm now down to 215 doing a similar routine as Mav. Once I started incorporating weights into my routine I noticed a big difference.
Actually doing P90X and I like it but the problem is I find myself getting bored with it so not sticking to it as needed so not getting those results you see on tv.
Yes, what the others said is true....the key to all of this is proper diet. You can go nuts at the gym but if you eat crap then you will have slower results.
For helping build muscle I've been told if I mix weights and cardio then do weights first and then cardio. P90X tends to do the one day weights and the next is cardio.
I actually really want to try Crossfit, it finally got started in my area, but the prices for the classes are too much for me. Really can't afford it right now.

I don't like the straight up fat burners. I do like Green Tea Extract pills. $20 for a bottle of 90 pills at GNC. Take one daily for metabolism boost. Green tea is a great thing to drink in general although I guess it helps if you like it. I drink a lot of Arizona Diet Green Tea. Satisfy the sweet cravings when I cut out a lot of sugars. That and lots of water are mostly the only thing I drink. Use light soy milk for my protein shakes.
My weight trainer also recommends Mens One-A-Day. Multivitamins are a great thing to have and that actually offers you a much cheaper alternative to those big multivitamin packets you see at fitness places that cost $50 for a months worth of pills.
Just something to look into that you could probably squeeze into your budget and will help you out. Always good to have some things like this when you are working out like you are in order to help your body recover and remain healthy through the stresses of all the exercises.

meh. i think the ATI drivers crashed my SSD or something failed. running the recovery disk and seeing if that fixes it. good thing all my data is on the other drive and backed up on my external as of a week ago, i think.
just adding to try to get to 1000 pges...only 40 more to go.
using the wife's dell...what a difference. slow...i3, no ssd(5400 rpm HDD) vs my N71 with its i7 and SSD.

well the recovery went fine. back to the way it was when I first got it, gonna be a while to get it back to how I had it setup and reinstalling stuff, but I have plenty of time. as long as my DA saves aren't lost. LOL. good thing i never put any games on the SSD.

Yeah, sorry to hear about the crash.
That reminds me that I need to make sure everything is backed up on my external soon. I think a fair amount is already so not too worried. Mostly have to double check to make sure the movies I got off my sisters external drive are backed up. Don't want another incident where I lose a ton of movies again of course that time it was my external that crashed but because the comp I was saving the movies on had only a little bit of space left I had deleted most of them from there.

I've been to NYC quite a few times now. Normally head up there once every few months to see my best friend. Makes it a much easier place to visit when you know someone there and have a place to stay.
Obviously I've been to plenty of places in Virginia since I live here. DC I go to every so often, quick 40 minute trip North.
Recently been to Philly and Boston. Haven't had a chance to hit up Pitt. Chicago is another place I would love to visit.

I do know one person out there from college but haven't spoken to him in a long time. Long story short, he orchestrated the untimely demise of my pet hamster while I was up in Virginia. Actually I feel like I can't leave it at that because someone will ask what he did so here is the longer version.
I went up to Virginia to visit family and left my room-mates in charge of Pepe(hamster). Well apparently they were outside and a hawk flew into a tree. So Mark(guy I know from Chicago) got the bright idea to go and grab Pepe and put him by the tree to see what would happen. Predator vs prey is what happened and the hawk snatched Pepe and took off. Of course they didn't tell me what really happened, only that he died. My apartment was unusually cold and we had only moved in a short time ago so I figure it might have been too cold for him. Found out later on what happened when a guy we used to all be friends with had a falling out with other friends of ours, whole other long story. He called me up and told me the truth. By then Mark had moved back to Chicago because the kid had become like a vampire. Seriously all he did was sleep all day long, wake up in the evening to go get a sub then he would come back and play Warcraft III all night long. That and he smoked lots of pot. Anyways I got the last laugh, he left his furniture behind including a multithousand dollar bed that I was supposed to buy for a few hundred bucks. I told him since he was the mastermind behind Pepe getting killed that the bed was mine free of charge and if he had a problem with that he was more than welcome to come all the way back to Tally to pick it up. End of story. Ha, it is sort of funny in some ways just because it is an obvious college thing that happened but it also ticks me off as well just because that was my pet and getting all the stuff for him was a chunk of change.
Back to Chicago, I'm sure if I called some of my boys and told them I want to hit that place up they would fly there in a second. Also I know my best friend would go as well if I asked her, she loves to travel.

chicago is a 5 hour drive for me, have family there. grew up in the 'burbs.
so in the world of george and his sudden failure and recovery, getting my puter back to how I had it before massive crash, is going to take longer than I thought. decided to forgo trend for antivirus(even if I have 8 months left on the subscription, i think it may have caused the crash or the display drivers, not sure which) and try MSE instead. most of my drivers are the same as out of the box, now. going to install 10.4 catalyst and move up 10.7 every few days, just to be sure the system is stable, i had 10.6 at the time of the crash.
but my DA saves and all my music and pictures and data are fine. thankfully for my weekly backups. but i still had to reinstall all the prgrams i had my data drive due to .dll's not being there and the registry was lost. since that stuff is saved on the OS drive. i don't think the crash was due to my SSD failing, because it seems to be fine, now, i think it was software, hence why i am taking my time putting it all back on, right away.
oh and the recovery disc made by xotic worked great.

Unfortunately I didn't score a shirt with something dirty written in Russian but she did get me one of those fur hats you see them wear in winter. That thing is going to be pimp in the winter.
She kept telling me there are a bunch of ridiculously hot women over there looking for men. Then my dad points out that it will be extremely difficult for me to get security clearance with a foreign wife, especially after this whole Russian spy fiasco.

Yea I guess we all know in and of itself "ping" is critical. Even my "slow" speeds would be OK for gaming with a good "ping". I get 50ms when good. Funny thing about Sprint is it has me test in places far away from Chicago. I might get better bandwidth but my ping is higher. When I test in Chicago which it never picks my pings are better.
I do not ever see 26ms happening.

Good stuff, the more the merrier.
Ummmm, let me see....went on a few trips this Summer but nothing too grand. Went to Indiana with my best friend over the 4th of July to meet with some of her relatives. It was that wholesome kind of fun. I have never seen so much corn before, true story. Also went up to NYC again to meet up with some friends from college. Unfortunately of all weekends I could be sick, that was the one so it kind of ruined the trip a bit.
Fall is where I'm going to be doing some more wild trips. Have a whole lot of plans based on FSU football games including a major trip to Miami to meet up with family and friends. That one will result in some permanent liver damage.

Um...hmm. I think the most exciting thing I did was probably get drunk and visit not one, not two, but three karaoke bars (with other drunk friends) and let loose. It was a really fun night although it is hard to articulate why. It was just a great group of people.
I don't go crazy during the summer. I usually have kid relatives at my house for the summer so I'm on my best babysitting behaviour. Fall and winter, on the other hand...That's fun time.

Hey guys, I could use some help. :) I'm trying to buy a light-and-thin laptop for school work, web browsing, typing, and general on-the-go computing. I was originally going to use my G73 for this, but the battery just goes too fast.
Anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking at both netbooks and smaller laptops. I'm not a fan of 10 inch netbooks (too cramped for typing), but anything between 11-14 inch range is golden.
Any one have any recommendations? Priorities are long battery life, comfortable keyboard, and general responsiveness. Bonus points if it can multitask or play HD youtube/vimeo/Hulu smoothly. I have about 500$ to spend, but the cheaper the better, and I dont mind buying used :P
(I know this isn't really Xotic-related, but since they don't really sell products which fit into this category I figured it'd be okay to discuss :P)

Damn am I tired today. Didn't get back from a happy hour meeting until a little after midnight, thanks to a huge amount of traffic because 2.5 of the 3 lanes on 95 were being fixed up. Yep you read that right, 2.5 lanes, so I had to drive partially on the messed up right shoulder. Then this morning was when my nephew was going back with my sister to Texas so woke up at 4:00 to help out with stuff and hang out with him before they left. Now at work hating life as usual with only 3 hours of sleep.

Seems like a very short time since the first game was released. Bioware is not one to crank out crap but EA is on the other hand. The new fully rendered trailer continues the trend of kick ass trailers for that series.

Your dorm does not have Cat5 jack it has a jack that will use a Cat5 cable. Unless you got no jacks and just a wire coming out of the wall.
Regardless you have a standard Ethernet connector. I am currently using a Cat5e cable to connect to a cable modem (technically not even a modem). Don't sweat it hi tech are some of the worst at naming things.
They are so bad I got a headache just thinking of how to explain, I gave up. Trust me it will work just fine. Not even sure if RJ45 is even technically correct. But does not matter, it works.

I got the UL30vt, not the JC - the vt's have Intel's CULV processors while the former has i3/i5/i7 I believe.
I'd had gotten the JC's if my budget had permitted, however JC's I found everywhere were around 1000 bucks. I got my vt for 600$ new so I'm happy :) Don't need it for gaming, just lots of typing and web browsing, and it's got a longer battery life and is lighter than the JC's so it's a good fit for me.

Agreed. :) I love the aesthetics of the G73. Not a big fan of Sager/Clevo look, a little too 90's-esque, plain-jane for my tastes. But it's whats on the inside that counts. ;) MSI is definitely too flashy, screams "Steal me!"

It is all taste so no right or wrong but. I like traditional non flashy. I am not an Alienware fan just too much. I have no problems with the Sager look. If you know your hardware you can see that their gaming machines have balls. I notice that so I like their look. I even like ThinkPads.
I do like the way the G73 looks very much. But had zero to do with why I picked over Sager. I guess I think it's slight cool wedge shape and finish are just bonus. The MSI is a bit overboard for me. It will definitely have a market with it's gloss and lights.
Really anything that gives AlienWare a run for it's money is OK in my book. I do hope the MSI guys start a thread like this. I do want to hear all the ins and outs. I will be shopping for a new notebook in a couple of years. I hope Asus and Sager take some of the good innovations of the 660R and incorporate in theirs. Competition is good for all of us.
I must comment and maybe I have a short selective memory. Justin is giving this a major thumbs up. I do not recall a bigger thumbs up. And consider at this time the buyers have great options. The Sagers and G73 so to give it such praise gives it some weight.
I can't wait I want Xotic users to start getting and see what they think.
Frost I want to PM you about video stuff. I have very little clue and would like some input. And congrats on your dragon love child.

And for the record, I definitely don't think the Sagers look BAD, I just think they look plain! Which is good or bad depending on your view. I definitely agree they have lots of balls where it counts (in hardware). I like the G73 because it's somewhere between Alienware and Sager when it comes to flash/looks. Doesn't lean too far either way.
If I needed to use it in a business or professional environment, I most likely would have gotten a Sager over the G73 :)
