I just got my new 9280 laptop in and all I can says is wow this thing is so much faster then my 3 year old HP dv9000.

I was wondering what a good user friendly benchmark program is?

SiSoft Sandra has a free version. It can do CPU/RAM/HDD and a few other benches in the free version. It also gives lots of info on your hardware.

Here it is, link (http://www.sisoftware.net//?d=dload&f=sware_dl_3264&l=en&a=). Just do not do any pay offerings. I do not think they will happen.
