I have had my N81vp for under a year and I have been experiencing a BSOD quite frequently since installing Windows 7 64 bit. The BSOD occurs when the system seems to be going to sleep. So I never actually see the blue screen I simply return to computer that is shutdown. I originally thought this was an issue with my web cam driver (which it may still be) because my web cam will randomly not function properly with skype and ASUS Smart Logon. I attempted to download the drivers for my webcam off of the ASUS website to no avail. I would download the drivers that were suppose to correspond to my webcam and I would simply receive a generic error message when trying to install them. I have no idea where to start or how to fix this problem. I attempted to reinstall windows 7 as I thought maybe there was a problem with the install but the problem still persisted. If anyone can please give me advice on how I might be able to fix this problem that would be great. Here is some information I pulled from the event viewer, not sure if this help out:

I have the same laptop and the same problem... It's so random that rma does not help, but here is a thread about it: http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?id=20100110183230859&SLanguage=en-us&board_id=3&model=N81Vp&page=20

The system might not be able to sleep and resume properly on Win7 64, usually this will need a BIOS update from your laptop MFG or could be resolved with some form of patch/application provided by your laptop MFG.

My suggestion would be to not use the Sleep functionality until the problem can be resolved.
