Hey guys, I havn't had my laptop for long now, but somehow I already managed to screw up the volume slider on the top right side of the keyboard. Its lit up now, but upon trying to use the mute button or the actual slider, no volume change is made, nor does it light up as it should. Has anyone else had this problem? Adjusting the sound the volume control in windows works fine and I shouldn't be complaining, but the physical keyboard slider is pretty impressive looking and I would sure like to be able to use it. Thanks.

sounds like you may have unloaded the software that it needs to interface with the volume control. sometimes this is all part and parcel with the touch pad and if you disable it or unload that software it makes those things in-operative. do you recall unloading any software?

I don't recall unloading anything...it seems to me that it was working, then when I booted it up the next day it didn't work so I rebooted it and it starting working again. Now it wont work at all. However, I'm sure you are right, I probably just need to reload the software. Its just that I'm not entirely sure which software to try and reload...Call me a noob.
