? Others are listing it. Was it a mistake at this time? Not a big deal I know Xotic will get when others do but just curious.

Looks like one of the others pulled also? This is interesting. I want input.

The Asus G73JW and G53 has been temporarily removed due to NDA from Asus and nVidia. We’ll be posting this model up on our website again as soon as the video card is officially announced from nVidia.

I kind of guessed, can we hope for 480 on G73? Oh yea NDA. Hard getting the cat back in the bag huh. Little thing bites and scratches.

the only way you could possibly change the card in the ASUS G73 is to get a card from asus because they use a different MXM standard than everyone else. Which means expensive, IF you could even get them to sell you a card. The G73 is, for the most part, not user upgradable and that is one of the big trade offs for getting something like the G73. Sure you can probably do it with enough experience, patience and care, but it is a ton harder to do.

how are you sure?I do not really think he is. I think he is basing on the 480 drawing much more power with minor improvements.

That said the jury is still out on both the 480 performance and heat. I am tending to believe the heat is not as bad as we thought it was going to be. I also think the 480 will likely have performance advantage over the 5870.

That said my 5870 rocks and if the 480 is better great. I hope things keep getting better.

Even if 480 tops 5870 the 5870 can hang with. Can't wait for next gen say a 59xx GPU.:D

Some are splitting hairs.

In benchmarks the 480m are barely better than the 5870. The 460m is lower in the hierarchy with 1.5GB VRAM as opposed to the 2GB that the 480m has. Notebookreview lists it lower than the 5870. Link (http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.844.0.html).

Kind of makes you wonder why Asus would put it in the next edition of such a succesful line like G73

Makes me wonder if nvidia want to much money for their card. Maybe Asus decided to go with 5870 afterall,or maybe initially. I wonder how much the price will go up with nvidia card? Hmm

Nvidia is always more expensive, and I doubt we'll see the 5870 in it if it's already been announced with the 460. Its probably been in production to get ready for the demand.

And the real answer was already given. Non disclisure agreement.
